Emily- I love to experiment in the kitchen, trying new recipes or concocting something that sounds fun. I enjoy reading and sewing. I’m also a former runner, but want to return to the pavement and eventually complete a marathon, possibly even a triathlon.

Joe- I’m a pediatrician and love working with kids. I am passionate about music, both playing the piano and singing. In my free time I enjoy reading and learning new things. I enjoy cars and traveling (though we don’t get to travel as much as we’d really enjoy).

Us- He’s from the north, she’s from the south. We met on eHarmony and dated for eight months before getting engaged. We’ve been happily married for almost 5 years now. We lead crazy lives, but in the midst of it all, we try to put Christ first.

Part of our story includes battling infertility. For years we struggled with the desire to have a child but could not conceive. When we started this blog, we hoped to share our story and bring hope to others living in silence. Through time, God graciously granted our deepest longings, our never ending prayers, by giving us a son. But we know that it is not by anything we have done, but only because of the Lord.
